A.
You can easily create a high quality chemomimi by using a bundle of hair for the finishing touches.
Let's try making a handmade chemomimi using items familiar to cosplayers!
By the way, using the method introduced here, you can recreate the following characters.
â– Kemomimi characters

Jack Howl (Twisted Wonderland)
Diona (Hara-Kami)
Tamamonomae (Fate/Grand Order)
Marsh Kirielight -Dangerous Beast- (Fate/Grand Order)
Serval (Kemono Friends)
Fennec (Kemono Friends)
and more: ......

Of course, you can create your own original Chemomimi character just the way you want!

Rough procedure
- Make a base cut in the shape of an ear.
- Attach two rows of "hair bundle 60cm" to the inner hairline of the ear
- Cut a hair bundle according to the shape of the ear with inverted hair
- Attach "50cm hair bundle for finishing" on the outer side of the ear
- Cut a "finishing hair bundle" according to the shape of the ear with inverted hair
- Cut a suitable amount of "hair bundle 60cm" for the inner hairline of the ear and reverse hair.
- Attach the hair bundle with the hair inverted in step 8 to the inner side of the ear.
- Finished!
Now, let's get started!
Procedure in detail
1. Cut out a COS board in the shape of an ear to make the base.

The COS board will be the base of the chemomimi.
Also, it is easier to attach the hairs if you draw a gentle curve around the hairline so that it follows the shape of the head.
By the way, the hairs will be one size larger when they are attached, so the trick is to cut them out a little smaller☆.
2. cut a bundle of hair (60 cm) to the length of the ear width x 2.
Since the hair bundle will be folded in two, cut it to twice the width of the ear. 3.
3. Stack the cut hair bundle (60cm) and attach it to the base (the inner part of the ear ).

Attach only the hair at the hairline and wait until it dries.
Use a clip or something to hold it in place to make sure it is firmly attached.
Cut half of the hair bundle and heat it well with a hair dryer.

After the heat has cooled down, comb the surface of the hair.
You can also comb the hair by hand to avoid combing too much.

By combing back the hair, the volume of the hair will increase, and it will look so soft that you will want to fluff it up!
5. Attach the base surface with adhesive.
6. Comb and cut the hair bundle with scissors to match the base.

If you wish to color the hair, do so at this point.

In this case, we used hair chalk, but Copics can be used instead!
7. Cut a 50cm bundle of hair for finishing to the same width as the ears.
8. Attach the hairline of the cut hair bundle to the base (the outer part of the ear).

9. Cut half the length of the finishing hair bundle and heat it well with a hair dryer.
The procedure is the same as for the inside of the ear.
Prepare the hair so that it has the ideal texture.
10.Adhere the surface of the base with adhesive.
11. Comb and cut the hair bundle with scissors according to the shape of the base.

If you wish to color the hair, do so at this point.
Depending on the character, gradation will make it look more realistic.
12. Spray the hair with hard spray, and use glue to reinforce any areas that are likely to peel off from the base.

13. Attach a bunch of hairs with back hairs at the root of the inside.

You can also use fake fur!
14. Roll the edge of the base inward slightly.
Warm the COS board with a hair dryer and fold it inward slightly to make it bend easily.
15. Finished!

The finished ears can be glued to the wig or sewn on, and the wig is finished.
This time, we made rounded chemomimi, but if you want to make ears that stand up like a wolf's, the video below will be helpful, so please take a look.
