Q. When I opened my carry-on at the studio, I found my long wig was tangled and I cried... What should I do?

Q. Is there a proper way to store wigs?

A.

For short or medium wigs, just turn them inside out!

For long wigs, use clips!

For long wigs, use clips. For volume wigs, put them in a shoe box.

If you take care in a hot and humid environment, you can keep your wig without worrying about it losing its shape by making a little effort.

Common to all wig types! Tips for carrying

Put it in an empty space in your luggage!

Put it in your carry-on bag last! →Take the wig out first when you get to the changing room!

Shorten the time the wig is under pressure as much as possible.

We recommend putting them in before you leave on the day, not the night before! (Be careful not to forget anything!)

Wigs tend to swell in hot and humid environments, so please pay special attention to this during the summer months.

How to carry a short or medium wig

Turn the wig over gently so that the roots don't fall out!

What? That's it? You may think, "What?" but since the pressure is no longer applied directly to the set hair ends, you can carry a wig like the one in the image without losing the tousled look.

Medium length wigs that do not tangle should be carried in the same way.

How to carry a long wig

Fasten from the inside and outside with clips.

Fasten two clips from the hairline to the ends of the hair from the inside on one side and from the outside on the other.

If the wig has a lot of hair, it is easier to clip it while twisting the hair bundle.

Longer balances can be carried the same way to prevent tangling!

Large clips can be found at 100 yen stores.

How to carry and store voluminous wigs

Put the wig in a shoe box at a 100 yen store!

(The wig in the photo is placed in the box with the valance attached.)

(The wig in the photo is placed in the shoe box with the valance still attached.) After placing the cushion paper inside the wig, place the wig in the shoe box so as not to crush the set part.

You can also store the wig in this way as it is!

Many layers carry the head mannequin with the wig attached... but if you want to reduce the amount of luggage, please use this method!

Here are some suggestions on how to store your wigs!

Brush your hair thoroughly every time!

If you put a protective net over the wig, it will not get tangled even if you put the wig in small bundles.

(Please note that if you put the wig together before covering it with the protective net, the hairs will come in direct contact with each other and get caught, making it easy for them to tangle!)

Do not leave the curled part stretched out!

Please keep in mind the storage method of covering the back of the head with the edge of the protective net to prolong the life of the curled wig.
