How to make a two block wig

Q. Can I reproduce the two-block with a wig?
→A.
Yes, it can!
Set the wig so that the roots don't float to give a natural look.

Q. I'm afraid the netting on the short hair part will show through... What is the point of choosing a wig to use?
→A.
Choose a wig with a lot of hair anyway!

Q. Is there any other way to dye a two-tone two-block?
→A.
Dyeing is OK! (More details later in the article...)
If there is a clear color difference between the top and bottom, we recommend sewing two wigs together.
We will introduce this method here.

For example, this is the perfect method for making wigs for characters like this♪

This is for all the male fashion layers in the world who are suffering...!
We will show you how to make a two-block wig.

Here is what you need...
1. Wigs (2 wigs of each color in case of two-tone color made by sewing together)
2. Cutting scissors, hair cutter, etc.
3. Dakkar
4. Iron
-Please prepare additional items below only if you need to sew together! -
5. Cutting scissors
6. Needles and thread for hand sewing

Here is what we used this time...
- Short straight yellow 02
- Layered short black 04

For a mohawk style or a close-cropped hair cut so that the bare skin shows through, we recommend a bald wig!

*Monochrome-colored two-block can be made with a single wig.
In that case, please skip the explanation about sewing the wig together.

Now, let's get started.Â

Prepare the wig to be sewn together and brush the hair flow.

As mentioned in the Q&A, please choose a wig with a lot of hair for the short hair part.

Turn the wig inside out so that you can easily see where to cut the lace part of the base.

Use scissors to cut away the area indicated by the red line.
(The position to insert the scissors is the same for both wigs.)

You will have a yellow wig top and bottom and a
black wig top and bottom.
Combine the upper part of the yellow wig and the lower part of the black wig.

After sewing them together, here is the one turned inside out.

Your two-tone wig is complete!
(The extra parts can be combined in the same way for cutting practice and dye tests♪)

-If you want to make a single wig, please see here-.

Now it's time to make the two-tone block.

First, avoid the hairs that cover the top (upper hairs) with a dacquard.

After that, shorten the lower hairs with cutting scissors or hair cutters...
There is an important point here that we would like you to be aware of.

Zubari: "Scissors should be shaved from the top!"

If you cut from the bottom, only the root will be too short, causing the hair to float...
To avoid this, cut the hair diagonally by cutting from the top as shown in the picture.
The rule of thumb is about 1.5 cm from the root, and you want the whole thing to be uniformly short!

I tried to be careful but it floated away... tears."
In such cases, after cutting, apply heat with an iron from the surface and hold it down until the wig fibers cool down, and it will adhere snugly.

Set the top part of the wig according to the character's style, and the two-block wig is complete!

At first glance, a two-block wig may seem like a difficult task, but
it's not as hard as you might think if you separate the top and bottom parts and cut and set the wig appropriately for each part.

Also, this time we used two wigs because there was a big color difference between the top and bottom, but you can of course dye one
wig partially to create a two-tone color.

Let's talk about dyeing from here...

If you want to make a two-tone color wig by dyeing,
prepare a wig of the lighter (lighter) color and dye the darker (darker) color.
This is because it is difficult to lighten (lighten) a dark (dark) color by dyeing.

For example, if you are going to dye the wig in this case, prepare a yellow wig and dye the lower part black...and so on.
